MacWorld / iWorld 2013: Hoodi magnetic shade for iPad

hoodieOften times while using my iPad on location, direct sunlight makes it next to impossible to see my screen clearly. This is especially troublesome when using my iPad as a wireless field monitor. Short of hiding under a swath of black Duvetyne, I have yet to find a great solution for keeping the sun off my screen.  Until now…

In just a couple weeks, a new company called HoodiVision will be releasing the Hoodi magnetic shade for iPad (with other models to follow). The $34.95 Hoodie just pops right onto your iPad using a series of magnets, and instantly shades your screen from direct sunlight. It’s simple, clever, and cool.

HoodiVision wasn’t officially showing at MacWorld. Instead, I just happened to bump into the developer while walking the isles. As it turns out, it’s one of the coolest things I saw at the show.

One Comment.
  1. It seems like a good concept, especially since I reside in the Sunshine state, however the design seems a little much. I have an iPad mini and bought it because of how small it is. This looks like it would be too much for me to carry.
